Hexagram 03 Breakthrough
The model of the moment: There is great disorder and instability here, as certain old ways have been turned on their head by events. The time is reminiscent of a new born babe who must abruptly begin living on his own, as he has ceased his existence as an inseparable part of his mother. His life is no longer directly linked to hers; he must breath and digest on his own, apart from her, for the first time. It would be easy now to sign up for more than you could handle. Avoid such over reaching. The responsibilities you already face are greater than you may realize. Since this portends the very beginning of an entirely new situation, a mistake now could be disastrous. The course usually recommended for such times: Focus on solving one problem at a time to work things through. You will have your hands full consolidating your new position; don't attempt to advance further at this time. Get good help if you can, child. Attend to matters personally. Anything else would be too risky under the circumstances. Let destiny direct those affairs outside of your immediate circle of concerns, for now. Feel free to ask others for advice.
Fixed (no changing lines);
This is a plateau process or event; the given model will hold true for an extended period of time. Attempts to manipulate events away from the present course could prove frustrating and fruitless, until destiny is satisfied. Consider the following as well as the above: Something is acting as an untoward drag upon your progress. You may not even have realized it was a problem up to now. It represents a significant problem to be solved. Only a change in your priorities offers you any chance of overcoming it.
Changing Lines:
1
Delay your advance to gather support, and to plan on dealing with the obstacles ahead.
2
Your plight is worsening. Staying firm your course will eventually get you through this time. The storm of outrage about you is artificial and will not last.
3
You require guidance to reach your goals. Without it you will proceed into humiliation, and maybe worse.
4
Seek help to overcome problems.
5
Only small tasks can proceed at this time, as your perspective is too narrow.
6
You have given up in the face of difficulty. There is no point is feeling sorry for yourself now. Recognize that despite your defeat, something new has begun. The timing for your efforts is simply not right. If you force things now you will be unhappy with the results.
When all lines are changing;
The present course requires diligence and attention to detail. It will be rife with growing pains.
