Hexagram 28 Breaking Point
The model of the moment: When large actions or great excesses dominate the news of the day, you can expect changes of unusually large proportions. There are times when immediate escape is the only reasonable option. Excess of one thing attracts or causes its opposite. Such movement is a reversal of polarities. Polarity swings are a major driving force in nature. Extreme excess may result in a polarity shift of great violence; such as the destructive juggernauts of a nuclear explosion or reactor meltdown ( An entropic rush from a state of high complexity and organization to utter chaos; a shift from one extreme to another in terms of intricacy. A severe stock market crash is another example of this model in action. ). The course usually recommended for such times: If the situation is irreparable, it is far better to seek escape than continue into ultimate collapse.
Fixed (no changing lines);
This is a plateau process or event; the given model will hold true for an extended period of time. Attempts to manipulate events away from the present course could prove frustrating and fruitless, until destiny is satisfied. Consider the following as well as the above: Too much is too much. Of anything. Even good. Lifegiving water may kill in floods. Labor saving electricity can overload circuits and set fire to homes, or electrocute. When excesses threaten suddenly and overwhelmingly, escape is in order.
Changing Lines:
1
Your responsibilities are beyond your ability to carry successfully alone. Thoughtful delegation of some tasks to aides is warranted here.
2
Good fortune. You find yourself in a unusual relationship, where your ideas bring fresh inspiration and hope to others.
3
You are weakened as your helpers leave your side. Your own narrow mindedness drove them away.
4
Important decisions must be made. Avoid the aid of the self serving, but welcome help from others, if it is required. Beware of external appearances at this time; some may hide dangers.
5
The situation is unusual. There is no opportunity for anything but humiliation here. You should readily give up authority now to anyone better capable of dealing with the problems.
6
You have been too bold in your attempts to solve problems. You lacked the proper strength, and this has brought on a myriad of troubles. But no one blames you for trying.
When all lines are changing;
Anything and anyone can be pushed too far. Beyond a certain point, chaos will appear, as disorder is spawned by great excess. The process may well be a violent one. Escape.
