Pathfinder
Hexagram 23 Siege
The model of the moment: Order is giving way to chaos. The current cycle is in collapse in regards to the object of your question, child. Little constructive can be done, but to attempt to defend what territory you have left. The course usually recommended for such times: After losing a battle, you should tend to your wounds and mend your defenses; not go madly charging immediately into battle once again. Seek shelter from your enemies.
Fixed (no changing lines);
This is a plateau process or event; the given model will hold true for an extended period of time. Attempts to manipulate events away from the present course could prove frustrating and fruitless, until destiny is satisfied. Consider the following as well as the above: This is a dismal time. There is little to nothing you can do to change things. Events are in the control of others. Submission to, and benevolence towards others is all you can and should do at this time.
Changing Lines:
1
Expect assaults upon your position, accompanied with covert tactics. You are under siege. Endure it as best you can, for your enemies are too strong for you to overcome now.
2
The enemy has taken control. Expect vicious attacks, and losses among allies. Avoid taking action, as it would result only in disaster.
3
A chance to break away from inferior elements is at hand. Do it quietly.
4
Inferior elements have done all the damage of which they are capable. There is nothing you can do now but make plans for the restoration to come.
5
Inferior elements are now seeking instruction from others. This could be an opportunity for restoration, but still caution is warranted.
6
Your position has great affect on the appropriateness of your behavior. A poor man who refuses rewards for his actions may be harming himself. A rich one who does so may benefit with regards to his good name in the community.
When all lines are changing;
Things threaten to fall apart here. Maintain a low profile. Hold onto any good relationships with others you may still possess.
