Hexagram 21 Correction
The model of the moment: Compromise is unsuitable in this circumstance, child. Also, the problem will not fix itself. It cannot be bypassed or ignored. If not resolved it could cause you long term damage. This is not a time for patience, but for decisive action. The course usually recommended for such times: Do it. Get it over with. Admit the problem exists and accept a solution for it. Your life cannot proceed as it should until after things have been put right. If there is a crime here that must be punished, then so be it. But such punishment must be entirely legal.
Fixed (no changing lines);
This is a plateau process or event; the given model will hold true for an extended period of time. Attempts to manipulate events away from the present course could prove frustrating and fruitless, until destiny is satisfied. Consider the following as well as the above: You face great inner turmoil. Your progress is stymied. The only way to change this is to face up to your responsibilities. But since these responsibilities are not all of your own choosing, you feel the situation unfair. Yet none of us are completely free are such entanglements. Escape from these particular circumstances may well be impossible for you. Or bring upon you far worse conditions. So your best course is to fully accept these impingements upon your freedom, and diligently work to fulfill whatever obligations are involved. This will lead to better times.
Changing Lines:
1
You are restrained as a consequence of past errors. This was only a minor irritant in the beginning, but has since grown.
2
You find yourself deeply mired in troubles. Regaining your freedom will require a struggle. You must be deeply committed to reform to succeed.
3
You must do something you would rather not now, in order to correct a problem. Some disappointment will come, but so too will eventual reform of the situation.
4
A great reform is necessary against substantial opposition. Strong action, devoid of both indecisiveness and excesses, will bring success and good fortune.
5
It is becoming apparent to others that you are lax in resolving difficulties. You should seek competent help in dealing with your responsibilities.
6
You are failing to take action just when reform is sorely needed. This will bring certain disaster, and a loss of freedom.
When all lines are changing;
Face up to what has to be done and do it. There is no other way. Postponing it will gain you nothing.
